Let go, don't look back. To round off the year, the Pitcher Rock 'n Roll Headquarters presents Goodbye Grief, Heart Out and Chasing Dreams, three passionate bands from Düsseldorf and the Ruhr region. With their intersection of punk rock, emo, alternative rock and post-HC, you can expect the perfect sound to dance and laugh as you say goodbye to setbacks, disappointments and anger in 2024. Make room in your head and heart for beautiful things in the new year!

Goodbye Grief

Goodbye Grief - that is concentrated passion and lifeblood for punk rock, a departure
and an embrace of the here and now. After their support show for Cancer Bats last year, the Düsseldorf band returns to the Pitcher for their end-of-year show. The quartet will be bringing their new EP with them, which will be released in December.

Goodbye Grief can look back on almost a century of international band and stage experience in hardcore, punk rock and metal bands such as MyTerror, The Anti Doctrine, Samsara Circle and Eleonore. With catchy melodies, personal lyrics and driving skatepunk drums, Goodbye Grief create their own best version of punk rock, pop-punk and post-HC.

Chasing Dreams

The post-HC/alternative rock band from the Ruhr area only released their second EP "time won't tear us apart" at the end of September, which was produced by Christof Kempe (Time, The Valuator, among others) and was accompanied by a successful release show as support for the breakthrough band Attic Stories at Oberhausen's Zentrum Altenberg.

The sound of Chasing Dreams is characterized by a mixture of melodic and heavy guitar riffs and the versatile vocals of singer Kim Wiesweg. In terms of content, the songs mainly revolve around topics such as dealing with addiction, depression, anxiety and failed relationships.

Heart Out

Heart Out from Düsseldorf released their debut EP "Zero" at the beginning of 2024. Seven songs that musically quote melodic punk and emo as known from Title Fight, Iron Chic, The Get Up Kids and Fiddlehead, among others. And the members of the quintet are no strangers. The musicians can look back on past or current roles with And Now Run, Kotwort, Fahnenflucht, Dead Patriots, Neon Knives, Irøn Wolf and Tim Vantol. After a few shows in 2024, including with Phantom Bay, Hippie Trim, Crime Dawg, Life Went Pear and As We Go, Heart Out are on the pitcher's boards for the first time. Welcome Heart Out, farewell 2024.
