Letztes Licht - Eine Mystische Winternacht

In the organizer's words:

As the year draws to a close, the days grow short and foggy, the nights long and cold, it's time to gather around warming fires and bring old legends, myths and sagas to life.
That's why Francesca di Cordo and Astrid von den Weiden invite you to the Gasthaus Zur wankenden Hydra in Westergarde to celebrate the end of the year and the Last Light with you.
But not everyone wants to celebrate and be merry. In the darkness, away from the cozy crackling fire, you can already hear the clattering and clamoring of the Wylden Man.
Only the intrepid dare to confront him, even hunt him down and take his companions from him. Because only with one of the companions can you send your wishes into the next year.
Will you hunt the Wylden Man with us?

The "Freie Silbermark" and the "Wankende Hydra" invite you and your friends to the Last Light at Torhaus Dölitz.

On December 14, 2024 our doors will open from 18:00. From 16:00 we look forward to welcoming all new and interested people for a beginner's workshop in the hobby.

Look forward to the celebration of the last light in Westergarde, under the motto "Myths, sagas and legends". Our kitchen awaits you with festive snacks and dishes. Of course, homemade mulled wine is a must at this time of year. Don't worry, our drinks menu also offers plenty of other things to quench your thirst. Of course, we also have our selection of historical games, which you can find on our tables or borrow at any time, to make sure you don't get bored.
What about presents? That's what the light tree is there for - hang a little something (up to €5) that fits the setting, preferably wrapped in a suitable way, on it and take something with you afterwards.

We look forward to celebrating with you and bringing the year to a worthy close.

Requirements for participation

As this is a LARP (Live Action Roleplay) event, participation is only possible with suitable clothing (garb) and equipment, as well as a character that fits into the fantasy background of the Hydra.

Special offer for interested parties, beginners and newcomers

Are you interested in our evening, but have never been to an event of this kind before?
No problem, we have a very special offer for beginners and those interested. We take two hours from 16:00 to make it easier for you to get started. Our LARP tutors will sit down with you and explain how LARP works and you can ask all your questions. We also offer an introduction to fantasy LARP combat. The tutors are available for you at any time during the event and we have a place for quiet conversations to clarify questions and problems.
On our homepage you will also find simple characters for the evening as well as further information about the hobby specifically tailored for beginners.
We have a small collection from which we are happy to lend out one or two items.

Minors at the event

Minors may attend the event accompanied by their parents. Under-18s must have left the event by midnight. We ask under 14-year-olds to go home by 10 pm. We ask for your understanding that we do not admit under-12s to the event.

Bringing your own food and drinks

We kindly ask you not to bring your own food and drinks. We from the Hydra team offer you a nice selection of both at very fair prices.
We make a clear exception for homemade drinks. Do you make your own liqueurs? Do you bake your own cookies? Smoke your own ham? We think that's great and would like to support this at our events. In general, we ask you not to bring large quantities, especially when it comes to high-proof alcohol.
Our motto here is "tasting and playing with it is cool, getting drunk is not"
If you bring alcohol, it is your responsibility to pay attention to who you offer it to and whether the person is already intoxicated. Our aim is not to produce as many alcoholic corpses as possible, but to offer a nice, harmonious game.

Tavern tokens

To ensure an undisturbed game, we do not use Euros at the event. Instead, we use the Hydra tavern tokens with the name Köppe. These are available in denominations of 1, 2 and 5, with one Kopp representing €0.50.
All prices during the event will be given in Köppen, which you can get at the bar at any time during the event. You are also welcome to set up an account with our paymaster at Hydrabank.
Any coins you have not used, including those in the bank, can be exchanged back into their corresponding euro value before you go home.
We accept the following payment methods at the event: cash, EC card, credit card, Paypal, Google Pay and Apple Pay.
