Clark Intimate, sexy and very danceable: with radical softness, Lie Ning conquers concert halls and dance floors alike - where Eric D. Clark has also been at home for 30 years.
Rarely has a debut album from Berlin sounded so international, glamorous and beautiful to cry to: Lie Ning surprised the music world in 2023 with "utopia", for which Ning collaborated with Sam Smith's producer Steve Fitzmaurice. By his mid-20s, Lie Ning had instantly played his way into the hearts of millions of daydreaming clubbers and night owls looking for love, alongside a career as a model, dancer and art director. With reminiscences of the noughties pop of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera as well as the transgressive inwardness of Anohni, Lie Ning gave expression to the feeling of being a black, queer person in a white socialized country. R&B-soaked ballads alternate with electropop songs and dancefloor bangers, which in turn also characterize the subsequent mixtape "sweatshop". On the latest single "Boys", Lie Ning, who has now moved to London and is therefore a little closer to a global career, sings about artistic freedom, the process and his own position: "I wanna be the center of the fucking party". To make this possible, one of the most legendary DJ personalities of the past 30 years will be spinning after the concert: Eric D. Clark, DJ, professor, author, curator and producer, who rose to fame in the 90s with the experimental house collective Whirlpool Productions

Rarely has a debut album from Berlin sounded so international, glamor- ous, and tear-jerkingly beautiful;
Lie Ning surprised the music world in 2023 with "utopia," created in collaboration with Sam Smith's producer Steve Fitzmaurice. In her mid-20s, the artist transitioned from careers in modeling, dance, and art direction to capture the hearts of dream- ers and night-seeking romantics. Drawing inspiration from '00s pop icons Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, along with Anohni's transgressive introspection, Lie Ning articulates the experience of being Black and queer in a predominantly white country. Their music blends R&B ballads with electro-pop anthems, shap- ing the follow-up mixtape, "sweatshop." Now based in London and moving closer to global stardom, Lie Ning sings in their latest single "Boys" about artistic free- dom and excess, declaring, "I wanna be the center of the fucking party." To follow up on this, the legendary experimental house DJ Eric D. Clark will be playing a set after the concert, continuing the night's energy.
