LOVE / an argumentative exercise - Sivan Ben Yishai

Do you know Popeye the sailor? He's a cartoon character invented 90 years ago. He loves spinach and has these impressively muscular arms. And Olivia oil?

Sivan Ben Yishai turns Olivia into the analytical brain of the text. We hear the voices from the past that have explained to Olivia how love works and determine her self-image. In a way, her vagina becomes the narrative organ that continues the story: about contemporary, feminist-enlightened relationships.
LIEBE is a radical and revolutionary play. It invents a collective body of language that tells an only seemingly private and intimate story.
