Excitement at the theater: the first day of rehearsals has not yet really begun when the leading actress drops out due to pregnancy.
The director is at a loss: where to find an actress who not only has an attractive name but can also step in immediately? And how to calm the nerves of her raging stage partner? Although he thinks he is the real star of the production, he secretly hopes that his new role will give him the comeback he has been longing for.

His shrewd manager has the solution: his ex-wife - once a star like him and a dream couple on stage and in life years ago. But the marriage was a long time ago and the separation was anything but harmonious. To be more precise: both hate each other to the core. But the agent has a plan ...
