The lights are dimmed, the blanket is in your hand, your shoes are off - as soon as you enter the Nikolaisaal, you are immersed in a special atmosphere. In this moderated concert, the internationally acclaimed mandolinist Alon Sariel and his long-time musical accompanist present their specially created program "Plucked Bach without borders". With great sensitivity and a sense of improvisation, they explore the dance character of Johann Sebastian Bach's most famous cello suites and partitas. The special spice is added by the plucked instruments mandolin and oud, from which the duo conjures up subtle sounds between Orient and Occident.
