Linda Schmelzer & Good Friends feat. Jochen Volpert - Blues&Love Tour

Blues singer Linda Schmelzer needs no introduction in this country. Anyone who has experienced the white woman with the black timbre knows what to expect. Her powerful blues voice, sometimes loud, sometimes soft, sometimes cheerful or sad, gets under your skin. Bubbling deep from her soul, she touches and moves her listeners.

The "Guitar Challenge organizer" received rave reviews for her album "Pearls", which she produced "live" with 11 musicians in the Nassau studio and released under the "Timezone" label. The interaction between the performers is palpable and the listener is almost transported into the atmosphere of a live club. In 2025, Linda is planning her second personal album, which will be a stylistic mixture of blues, soul and love and, of course, once again with tangibly real musicians.

She will be bringing the following musical gems to her concerts:

For over 20 years, the excellent thoroughbred guitarist Jochen Volpert has been one of her good old friends, with whom she has already played numerous live concerts and recordings. His extraordinary talent for transforming the 6 strings into emotionally charged guitar solos is just one of his many trademarks.

On saxophone she has invited Jürgen Faas, who has studied music and toured internationally with numerous big bands and large jazz and soul ensembles. In addition to saxophone and clarinet, his arrangements and compositions are also used by symphonic orchestras at many regional theaters.

Michael Hauck, the busy funky groove chief known from the popular Monkeyman Band and the Andre Carswell Duo, will be swirling on the keys.

The groove carpet is laid by German rock award winner and funk bassist Chui Lang. The beat is provided by Stefan Schön, who has already played on a drum set with drum legend Pete York.
