You see, that doesn't work in the case of Lisa Canny. When you've won the prestigious "All Ireland Championships" 7 times - and on 2 instruments at that - it's impossible to keep your head down. Lisa grew up in the north-west of Ireland, in County Mayo, and naturally her first musical contact was with the traditional music of the country. She later studied at the "Irish World Academy of Music and Dance" in Limerick, a kind of "training ground" for talented young musicians. But the Irishwoman has constantly developed musically, giving space to other styles and thus creating a total work of art that consists of a mixture of Irish traditional music, pop music and hip hop. This fusion of styles has led to renowned music managers such as Miles Copeland.
