Literarischer Sommer: Fien Feldmann mit ihrem Roman Xerox

In the organizer's words:

In an Amsterdam start-up, the nameless protagonist operates the printer - but while the Xerox prints the customer letters, her anger grows: at the past that cannot be shaken off, her bullshit job and the jovial phrases of her colleagues. As she has no contact with anyone else, she tells the printer what is bothering her. Fien Veldman tells the story of a headstrong young woman and exposes the emptiness of the modern working world.

Fien Veldman, born in Leeuwarden (Friesland) in 1990, studied literature and worked as a journalist and theater critic. Xerox is her first novel. Translator Christina Brunnenkamp has been translating from Dutch, English and French since 2015.
