Three current literary works set off on a journey along the Elbe in the harbor and along the banks towards the sea. Hamburg authors Friederike Gräff, Johann Scheerer and Katharina Hagena will be reading in the saloon of the spacious passenger ship MS Commodore.

The stories from Friederike Gräff's short story collection "Frau Zilius legte ihr erstes Ei an einem Donnerstag" (Mrs. Zilius laid her first egg on a Thursday) push the boundaries of what we consider to be everyday life and reality, opening our eyes to the agonizingly wondrous mysteries of our existence.
In his new novel "Play", Johann Scheerer tells of a struggle to find a balance between professional self-realization and family responsibility, in which surprising beauty lies.

With warmth, linguistic power and subtle wit, Katharina Hagena's fourth novel "Flusslinien" tells of three people, three fates - and twelve early summer days on the Elbe that change everything.
