In addition to her career as an actress in series such as "Spirit Warriors" (2010), "Youngers" (2013), "Top Boy" (from 2019) and in the film "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" (2021), Little Simz is one of the most successful British rappers of her time. Rooted in grime, the musician describes her music as experimental rap. On her top tracks "Venom", "Woman", "Point and Kill" and "Gorilla", she also plays with influences from rock, jazz and classical music and has more than 1 billion global streams across her discography. With her album "Sometimes I Might Be Introvert", Little Simz won a Mercury Music Prize in 2022 and landed in the top 5 of the British album charts. Since then, the 31-year-old singer has become one of the most celebrated British artists. Her album "No Thank You" reached number 11 in the German album charts. The artist recently announced her biggest live shows in the UK to date and her new album "Lotus" for June 6. On her Lotus Tour, Little Simz will also be coming to Germany for two shows in September, performing at Berlin's UFO im Velodrom and Cologne's Palladium, setting a new benchmark for her career.

Simbiatu Abisola Biola Ajikawo was born in the North London borough of Islington to a Nigerian family. Her creative talent was nurtured from an early age, which she found in rapping, making music and acting. At the age of 11, she performed live for the first time in a youth center. In 2010, she released her first mixtape "Stratosphere", the title track of which made her famous in the British hip-hop scene via BBC 1Xtra. After further mixtapes, some of which were self-released under the name Lil Simz, LittleSimz signed with Age 101 Music in 2014 and released her debut album "A Courious Tale Of Trials + Persons" in 2015. This was followed by "Stillness In Wonderland" in 2016, which was re-released as a deluxe edition the following year. 2019 saw the release of "Grey Area", which, alongside "Selfish" and "101 FM" , featured their first mega-hit with the dark track "Venom" and brought them into the UK charts for the first time. Little Simz celebrated international success in 2021 with "Sometimes I Might Be Introvert" and the songs "Woman" and "Point and Kill". In 2022, the surprise album "No Thank You" was released, which is seen as a reckoning with the music industry without promo campaigns or single releases and contains another hit with "Gorilla". Following the release of the "Drop 7" EP (2024) and a feature on the Coldplay song "We Pray" , Little Simz is now back with her new album "Lotus ", which she has already teased with three single releases. On "Free", Little Simz explores the duality of love and fear, while "Young" is dedicated to growing older. The single "Fear" , on the other hand, features Obongjayar and Moonchild Sanelly and already hints at the changing mood of the album and the journey through different phases of life that "Lotus" takes its listeners on. For Little Simz herself, the title embodies renewal and growth and thus reflects her own development as an artist.
