Experience a fascinating astronomical spectacle during the partial solar eclipse on March 29, 2025! Look forward to a colorful theme day with a varied program in all locations of the Planetarium Berlin Foundation and experience all the highlights of this rare celestial spectacle!

The partial solar eclipse begins on March 29 at 11:32 a.m. when the edge of the moon and sun touch and reaches its peak at 12:20 p.m. with a maximum coverage of 15.3%. The impressive celestial spectacle is over again at 13:08. In the Zeiss-Großplanetarium, numerous experts will guide you live through the spectacle and share exciting information about astronomy and the processes of a solar eclipse. In thematically accompanying fulldome short programs in the planetarium hall, you will learn exciting facts about solar eclipses. We explain what will be visible in the sky over Berlin, how a solar eclipse occurs and travel together to the place with the strongest eclipse. The celestial event itself can also be followed as a moderated livestream in the in-house cinema and on the large LED wall in the foyer.
