With Moon Mirror, Nada Surf present their first studio album in four years - a deeply personal and moving work, released on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of their debut single The Plan/Telescope. Produced by Ian Laughton (Supergrass, Ash) and recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales, the album harks back to the great anthems of the band's history - and at the same time breaks new, more thoughtful ground. "The songs on Moon Mirror are true to the human experience - with all its love, sadness, loneliness, doubt and hope," reads the lyrics accompanying the record. Bittersweet harmonies, poetic reflections and rousing choruses make the album another milestone in the band's oeuvre. Since their breakthrough with Popular (1996), Nada Surf have been a force to be reckoned with in international indie rock. In Germany, they gained a particularly loyal fan base with albums such as Let's Go and tours with Sportfreunde Stiller and Wir Sind Helden. The live album Peaceful Ghosts, recorded with the Babelsberg Film Orchestra, underlines the creative range of the New York quartet.
