US emo sensation TX2 comes to Europe

September 2025 live in Munich, Cologne and Frankfurt

Headlining Europe for the very first time. After being involved in the US concerts with Ice Nine Kills, Timothy Evan Thomas aka TX2 and his band are also coming to Germany this fall: The emo newcomer and TikTok star from Colorado will be playing in Munich, Cologne and Frankfurt in September as part of the "TX2 and the UK EU tour".

Fort Collins in Colorado is known for its surprisingly large alternative music scene and was the ideal breeding ground for Timothy Evan Thomas: born in 1999, he was already playing drums at the age of five, had various bands as a teenager and then ended up in rap - after all, "rapping is like playing drums, only with words". A few obscure mixtapes later, he opened the current emo chapter shortly before his 20th birthday - clearly the ideal genre for him to release pressure and meet like-minded people.

TX2 landed his first viral hit on TikTok with "Pull The Plug" in 2021, and "I Would Hate Me Too" went viral two years later: Timothy defined his trademark mix of emo sounds, punk attitude and rap parts with these tracks at the latest. His social media affinity and openness also played a key role in his musical community-building: TX2 openly expresses what others tend to sweep under the carpet. And he also has no problem offending people.

Influenced by Hollywood Undead, My Chemical Romance, Green Day and Ice Nine Kills, with whom TX2 has already been on a stadium tour in the USA (they recently released the joint track "MAD"), the former solo project has long since become a band - which also includes Cam, Corky, Sam and Ethan. Together, they give recent streaming hits such as "Heaven Was Full" or "Vampire By Rumor" the necessary emphasis live.

"For the first 18 years of my life, I hid my sexuality and was full of hate," says the 25-year-old about his desire to establish as inclusive an environment as possible. He is fully behind the LGBTQIA+ community, says the singer, whose stage name is due to the two Ts in his name (Timothy + Thomas). "I thought the name was cool back then, but it actually sounds like a microwave model."

The first EPs "Drop Dead", "Say You're Insecure (Without Saying It)" and "Ghost of LA" were followed by the 2024 EP "Cruel World". TX2 will also be presenting the highlights of these EPs in Germany in September, promoting their own "X Movement": "You're not fucking alone," is Timothy's message to the audience, as mental health & co. are also among his central themes. "We're building a community here, and every one of you is just as important as everyone else."
