Live-Podcast: FEMINIST SHELF CONTROL

Annika Brockschmidt and Rebekka Endler read bad romance novels so that you don't have to - that was the motto of the podcast Feminist Shelf Control at the beginning. Now, after almost 2 years, the description should be more correct: Annika and Rebekka consume bizarre media of all kinds and analyze it for added social value so that you can laugh and suffer along with them.

Romance novels were just the beginning, now series and films have been added, but also non-fiction books and interviews with public figures - everything that triggers a need to talk for Annika and Rebekka. In the process, they often come across works that seem trivial or harmless, but on closer analysis are bastions of highly problematic theories.

Feminist Shelf Control is their coping strategy for media and culture and, in addition to sound expertise, they hope to bring a little light and laughter into the chaos together. It's about sex, love, feminism, fascism, history, friendships and, surprisingly often, animals.

The theme for the live show has not yet been revealed, just this much: it will be an audio-visual rollercoaster ride of emotions and a reunion with old friends from the show.
