Locas In Love have existed in a niche of their own for over 20 years, unwieldy, embracing, obsessive and inviting. In that time, they have released seven critically acclaimed albums produced between Cologne, Glasgow and New York, played hundreds of concerts and established themselves as an indie pop institution, according to Spiegel Online "important and reassuring", according to Süddeutsche Zeitung "pleasantly serene and brilliantly cerebral". After a period of reduced activity due to a global pandemic, children, new artistic projects and reality and life in general, the band is currently finalizing their first album since 2015, which will be released next year.

Stefanie Schrank, bassist of the band and visual artist, released her solo debut album in 2019 and this year the EP "Schlachtrufe BRD" with the surprise hit of the same name. Her sophisticated pop combines her personal and radical poetry with krautrock-like analog synthesizers and angular, elegant drum computer grooves.
