To celebrate their 20th anniversary, the legendary Locomondo are coming to Germany for three exclusive concerts.
The septet from Athens has long been one of the best-known bands in Greece. With their polyphonic lyrics and a wonderfully hybrid sound, in which they twist the music of the Mediterranean with the pulsating rhythms of the Caribbean, they create a firework of joie de vivre, passion and musical virtuosity.
Lead singer Markos Koumaris inspires not only with his charismatic stage presence, but also with his impressive variety of languages. He switches with ease between Greek, English, German, Italian and Spanish and combines rhythms, sounds, history and identity to create an incomparable performance. In addition to guitar, bass, drums and keyboard, he also uses accordion, bouzouki and the traditional baglama. It goes without saying that Locomondo have already toured with Manu Chao, Alpha Blondy, The Wailers, The Skatalites, Aswad, Mad Professor and many others.

The Greek-Ukrainian DJ duo Oriental Tropical will open and close the festival. They will take you on a musical journey of discovery to distant lands, where the folklore of village festivals and weddings is constantly evolving in an urban environment. Traditional meets contemporary and ultra-modern, 1000-year-old instruments meet electronic beats. Michalis and Janeck have been searching for over a decade for the perfect sound framework for chilling and dancing that is both trippy and exciting.
