Dance premiere by Lorenzo Ponteprimo

Lorenz Krieger' is a research in the format of a one-man show that deals with the struggle for personal identity in various scenes. The result is a sensitive, entertaining artistic analysis on the subject of disruptions in the area of self-perception and the relationship to the outside world. The research will explore the balancing act that must be achieved in order to assert oneself in today's world, while at the same time revealing one's own vulnerability. The choreographer and performer Lorenzo Ponteprimo will be accompanied by a diverse team and the participants of the outreach program, allowing for a multi-perspective approach to the portrayal of the 'hyper-masculine' stage character.

About Lorenzo Ponteprimo

Lorenzo Ponteprimo came to dance at the age of nine via hip hop. He remained curious and acquired a wide variety of styles and disciplines until he finally went to CODARTS, the Contemporary Dance Academy in Rotterdam, in 2011. His internship semester took him to Conny Janssen Danst as a dancer. After an engagement with Nanine Linning at Theater Heidelberg, he stayed in the city and worked from there throughout Europe as a choreographer, teacher and dancer, including with Domenico Strazzeri, Ricardo Fernando, Éric Trottier, Eva Borrmann and Edan Gorlicki. In 2018, he was also part of the GUMMITWIST mentoring program at the Theater Felina-Areal in Mannheim. His works have been shown at the Tanzbiennale in Heidelberg and the Tankturm Fest 2017, among others. He has also created choreographies for the Strado Compagnia Danza in Ulm (2018) and for various dance schools in Italy. In 2019, he completed a month-long intensive course with David Zambrano in Brussels.

As a choreographer, he created "Kinder der Vanilla" in the choreography program of the Heidelberg Theater and the Nanine Linning Dance Company in 2015. In co-creation with Iacopo Loliva, he developed "Antenna (Prova 1)" and in 2017 for the "Heidelberg Tanz Biennale" and the "Tankturm Fest". He also took part in the 2018 edition of "GUMMITWIST", a program for young choreographers at Theater Felina Areal in Mannheim. In 2018 he choreographed "TRUMPET" for Strado Compagnia Danza, Ulm. The following year Lorenzo and Cecilia Ponteprimo presented "Antenne (Prova 2)" at Freier Tanz im Delta, Felina Theater, Mannheim and in public schools to reach young audiences. In 2020 "Justaminimaldance" was created for Professione Danza Parma, Parma (IT).
