Mexican Rock & Roll

Los Compañeros are musically at home in the Californian-Mexican border region. There, rock and western guitars mix with traditional Mexican sounds. Los Compañeros present raw versions of South American classics such as La Bamba, Black Magic Woman, Quantanamera, Besame Mucho, Sway, Tequila and Granada. You are reminded of the Italian westerns of the 60s and the soundtracks of Tarantino movies. It's like driving through the desert of the border region in a rusty convertible and listening to a pirate radio station on the other side of the border.
