Love and Pride - CSD Porträts von Katharina Bosse

In the organizer's words:

The Christopher Street Day demonstrations (in English: Pride) stand internationally for the equality of people. The colors of the rainbow are symbolic of tolerance, diversity and pride in the LGBTQ+ community. The number of CSDs in Germany is growing continuously (from 140 in 2023 to 162 in 2025) and their importance is also increasing in smaller communities.

Katharina Bosse has been taking portraits of people at Pride events since 2024. Many pictures are taken in a brief moment of calm, shortly before or after the demonstration. The people are usually seen in pairs or groups. The pictures show humanity, closeness and community. She photographs in federal states in East and West Germany, in addition to larger CSDs such as Münster, also in Detmold, Minden, Zeitz, Dortmund, Erfurt and Herne. This series, which will be shown in Bielefeld at the start, will of course include pictures from CSD Bielefeld.
