The fabulous brothers Lucas and Arthur Jussen are among the most sought-after piano duos of our time. With unbridled joy of playing, great virtuosity and refreshing versatility, they ignite musical fireworks. "In their hands, both pianos merge into a single melodious instrument." (de Volkskrant) The Dutch musicians play with a common breath, their energies flow together symbiotically and then discharge themselves in gripping interpretations. "It's as if we are one person. In concert, it's a case of letting go and seeing what happens," say the brothers. With this perfect harmony on two pianos and their somnambulistic confidence, the Jussen brothers bring a breath of fresh air to the classical music scene. "It's like driving two BMWs at the same time," said conductor Michael Schønwandt about the two pianists after a joint concert. They seem to have been born for the stage as a double act. Even as children, they were allowed to perform for Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and have been causing a sensation ever since. First awards at prestigious competitions followed, they performed at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and became national stars in Holland. Lucas and Arthur Jussen have been exclusive artists on the Deutsche Grammophon label since 2010.
