Anne Mason-Hoerter uses up to 100 individual photos to create a mosaic that reflects the distortion of memory and the breathtaking beauty and fragility of nature. The Munich-Nymphenburg Botanical Garden is presenting her photo exhibition "Lucid Recollections / Transparent Apparitions" from March 29.
Anne Mason-Hoerter's special technique consists of dissecting plants and superimposing their photographed components. Her works touch on important questions: Will our visual memories become even more important in a rapidly changing world? Can we rely on the accuracy of these memories that shape our understanding of nature?
