LUMINA is a voice-controlled artificial intelligence built into a seemingly ordinary desk lamp. It learns quickly and controls almost every aspect of its human users' lives. She takes care of all your unpleasant tasks, manages your finances and always has an open ear for you. LUMINA is your best friend. The AI was created by two up-and-coming entrepreneurs. They are constantly developing LUMINA's algorithms in order to achieve the best benefit and greatest profit. But that's where the problem begins: Every change in the algorithm has consequences that the two AI creators do not always have under control. And who actually controls LUMINA's creators?

In a mixture of puppet and object theater, Armada Theater examines the learning behavior behind an AI and poses ethical and existential questions. A blackly humorous evening of theater about the opportunities and dangers of artificial intelligence.

Armada Theater, an independent theater collective from North Rhine-Westphalia, has been making theater for children, young people and adults for over a decade. For their performances, the group creates lovingly crafted miniature worlds that are filmed live on stage and complemented by music and drama. In this way, the theater collective manages to convey complex relationships in a playful way.
