Lünsche Mess

Over four days, the curtain rises on the big city spectacle "Lünsche Mess" in Lünen's city center. The Theater and Pfarrer-Bremer-Parkplatz, the pedestrian zone, Tobiaspark and Willy-Brandt-Platz are transformed into an eventful backdrop for young and old, big and small.

The Lünsche Mess opens on Thursday at 6 pm with the traditional barrel tapping. As a crowd-puller for the entire region, the fair regularly attracts several thousand visitors to the city center. Despite this, the atmosphere is still relaxed, as the spacious grounds ensure that the crowds don't get too big.

The spectrum of the fair ranges from a funfair with attractive rides and a colorful merchant scene, to the famous duck race on the Lippe and several flea markets, to the best musical entertainment, a wide range of culinary delights and many activities in the various beer gardens and stage areas.

Lünen's biggest folk festival always ends on the 2nd Sunday in September.
