LÜX (DE)

LÜX is wild, LÜX is tender and pushes the boundaries of pop.
Intimate minimalism meets musical outburst. Unpredictable, deep, high, fragile and overwhelming. Isobel's exceptional voice dances on an untameable band where you never know exactly where to look first.

Isobel Afonte, singer and songwriter of LÜX, has already sung as a soloist on stages such as the Olympic Stadium or the Brandenburg Gate in front of 300,000 people. Pianist, composer and producer Simon Anke has played with Robbie Williams and Alicia Keys, among others. Bassist Hannes Hüfken is a groove machine who masters everything from synth basses to bass ukulele. The "Shanti Choir" and Dana Shanti's flute open up new spaces and Tayfun Schulzke on percussion & samples completes the band with his unbridled enthusiasm.

Since their first single in 2022, LÜX can be heard on RadioEins and MDR Kultur. Their first EP UNCOVER was released in 2023.

DOROTHY BIRD (DE/UK)

Dorothy Bird transports her audience into atmospheric art-pop soundscapes that are poetic, deep and moving. Between floating bass-synth pads, piano, fascinating beats and guitar, oscillating from intimacy to outburst, spaces are created in which everything comes together: Depth and expanse, light and shadow, dream and reality.

With Jon Lawton (guitar), an esteemed music producer, and Ryan Mallows (drums), a versatile drummer, Dorothy Bird's warm, velvety voice unfolds an authentic and honest intensity that gets under your skin. Her music has been described as "masterful" (fifty3) and "uplifting and haunting" (Joyzine). After her acclaimed concert at the Yoko Ono Lennon Tung Auditorium Liverpool and airplay on BBC Introducing, she now brings her music to the stage of Ballhaus Prinzenallee.

DANA SHANTI (DE)

With her unmistakable warm voice, playfulness, humor and poetic storytelling, Berlin singer Dana Shanti moves effortlessly between goosebumps and a twinkle in her eye. Often compared to Joni Mitchell and Sade, the artist hypnotically attempts to expand herself to those aforementioned heights without losing her individuality and edge.

In trio formation with Kwame "Sometimer" Gbemu (bass) and Miguel Alejandro Lagos Miranda (drums), the musical stories of three continents unite, the musical stories of three continents unite, the contrasts of a childhood behind the wall and an opening into unlimited possibilities.
