M-cine does not draw on existing silent film compositions, but looks at the films of its choice from today's perspective and explores their language. Is it conventional or experimental? Loud or quiet? M-cine develops the musical material for the film from these questions. Improvised and fully composed elements intertwine. This makes every silent film evening unique and full of the joy of experimentation.

On October 5, joy and sorrow lie close together: in Buster Keaton's "The Cameraman", unsuccessful photographer Luke swaps his camera for a film camera for his beloved Sally. Unfortunately, everything goes wrong in his new job. Even the date that Sally finally grants him doesn't really go according to plan at first... An action-packed comedy with avant-garde visual effects, clearly an unforgettable slapstick masterpiece.
But that's not all - nostalgia for home is included free of charge. Each evening opens with a very special short film from Cologne's early film history. Naturally with a specially composed film score by M-cine. Something chocolatey is of course also included...
