MACCLESFIELD (New Wave - Pop - Punk / Hannover), very special guest: KING CURRY & THE PISSERS OF REVOLUTION

In the organizer's words:

MACCLESFIELD...are probably best known for the fact that they have already competed in 6 countries for the ESC (Eurovision Song Contest) since 2015. This year, they caused quite a stir with their semi-final appearance and the two trips to San Marino that went with it.

In addition, their very own musical style speaks for itself: The mixture of 80s British-influenced new wave, rock, pop and punk is rare and hip at the same time. The name MACCLESFIELD, the place in England where Ian Curtis of JOY DIVISION took his own life in 1980, is emblematic of this style.

Macclesfield consist of a cross-gender, cross-national and cross-generational 5-piece setup, all from Hanover, aged between 21 and 61.

After gigs at Fète de La Musique, Bei chéz Hèinz April Festivals, Reload Festival and LUX, it's time for more gigs in and around Hannover and worldwide with their fresh vinyl LP in the bag.

KING CURRY...Any number of associations are possible... like acts by Dawid
Bowie, Alice Cooper, Kiss, The Tubes. The Hanoverian cult singer has made himself rare. But on the occasion of MACCLESFIELD's vinyl release party, he was persuaded to make another appearance. The King is back, and how. He will be supported by his magnificent rock orchestra, consisting of Boris Kaune / keyboards, Frank Harder / drums, Jörg Putzig / bass and Thorsten Gerdsmeyer / guitar.
