Daniel Hagenberger is in his mid-30s, well-mannered, against nuclear power and has just been dumped by his girlfriend. On an all-inclusive vacation in Antalya, he falls head over heels in love with the beautiful Aylin and she falls in love with him. As the young woman has an extended Turkish family with customs that are rather unknown in Germany attached to her, the softie stumbles from one blunder to the next. Every awkward attempt to ingratiate himself, be it with cousins or future in-laws, not only backfires, but also fails in the most comical way.

Macho Man is a brilliant solo for an actor who slips into a dozen roles at breakneck speed and with great wit, telling an intercultural love story with warmth and humor.
