Alex the lion, Marty the lively zebra, Melman the neurotic giraffe and Gloria the tough hippo finally want to return to their beloved zoo in New York. But their journey leads them into the glittering chaos of Monte Carlo - and directly into the sights of the merciless animal catcher DuBois. On the run, the four join a run-down circus - and unexpectedly become stars. Between wild chases, shrill circus acts and dangerous shortcuts through Europe, their friendship grows - but the journey home demands more courage than ever before.
