Maël & Jonas are long-time friends and an artistic duo who came 3rd in the casting show The Voice of Germany in 2020 with Nico Santos as their coach. A lot has happened since then. After the million-streamed final single "Treat you Right" feat. Nico Santos was followed in 2023 by the debut album "rocket science", which entered the German charts at #77. The track "I swear to god" was streamed over 20 million times on Spotify. Other tracks such as "simp" and "hey anna" also have well over 1 million views. The fanbase is getting bigger and bigger.
"TWO SPOONS SUGAR" is the name of Maël & Jonas' second album, which was released on February 21, 2025. Now you would expect them to pick up where their predecessor left off in terms of sound. Instead, it's back to personal songwriting, as a duo and in a different musical direction. More indie, less pop-rock. Maël & Jonas: These are two characteristic voices, two friends and two songwriters who have both grown up. Fans can already look forward to three singles from the upcoming album "TWO SPOONS SUGAR". The songs "bitterness", "lonely waters" and "IDEWFILA" already show where the journey on the second album will take them.
