GUEST PERFORMANCE by Quindell Orton > Munich/Athens

A dancer, a projection screen, a live camera, some silicone abs and the question: How does a body "make" masculinity and how do our ideas of masculinity shape the world we live in?

With a mix of pop culture, politics and personal interviews, MAKING OF A MAN is an exploration of masculinity, the male hero narrative and the vulnerable side of masculinity.

A look at the leaky vessels we build for male identity and our constructions of what masculinity means. Who is "allowed to be male" and why?

How can we find other ways of being together in the world beyond the rigidly chiseled codes of masculinity? And what potential does this hold?

With a lot of humor, full use of media and body and highly topical analysis, the evening moves seductively fluidly between performance, TED talk and dance.
