To celebrate the release of Andreas O. Hirsch's new album The Salamander Treaty on makiphon, there will be two solo concerts tonight:

Andreas O. Hirsch
With his self-designed instruments and the connection to effects, Hirsch creates a playful space between experimental electronics and non-Western influences, sometimes drawing on field recordings. Hirsch is one third of the trio The Knob, The Finger & The It and, together with Patricia Koellges, runs makiphon, a label for experimental music and artists' records.

Thomas Rehnert
Thomas Rehnert's playing combines gestural and textural playing styles with analog synthesized sound, which is created by a complex network of interconnected modules in which sound and control signals transform and influence each other. Rehnert is a composer, sound artist, percussionist (...) and our guest here from Brest / FR.
