From 9 to 13 April 2025, we will be celebrating the 400th anniversary of the microscope - a groundbreaking invention that, like the telescope, has revolutionized our view of the natural sciences. During our "Invisible Worlds" theme days, you will experience an exciting journey from the microcosm of life to the infinite vastness of the universe in workshops, fulldome programs, lectures and live performances.

Step into the world of < MAKRO | MIKRO > - an audiovisual live performance that goes beyond scale and dimensions! Experience an unfolding story of creation in which the cosmic dance of the galaxies merges with the intricate rhythms of life at the smallest level. From the explosive birth of the universe to the pulsating vibrancy of microscopic cells, this experience weaves light, sound and movement into a breathtaking symphony of interconnectedness.

Visuals: Sumeet Rohilla is an interdisciplinary media artist who combines science, new technologies and art in his work. His artworks range from abstract data visualizations to interactive real-time light installations and audio-reactive visual immersive experiences.

Sound: Mohsen Mehrafrouz is a music producer and sound designer with a particular penchant for scoring visual art. Inspired by the images created by Sumeet, he has designed appropriate soundscapes and musical phrases to create an immersive experience for the audience. Large parts of the music are inspired by the sounds of living cells.

Live music: Joy Stuhr (cello) is a professional musician from the USA who performs all over the world, from New York to Europe and Africa to China. As a classically trained cellist and pianist, her creative sound blends classical influences but also crosses boundaries and reflects different cultural influences, creating a unique experience for listeners.
