Malaka Hostel (Freiburg) Ska, polka, Balkan beats and rock riffs

They sing in Spanish, German, Czech or English. Folkloric music, whether from the Balkans or the Andes, finds its place - carried by grooving beats, while the brass section consisting of trumpets and harmonica bubbles away. Ska, polka, Balkan beats and rock riffs come together just as well as gipsy swing, folk or Greek rebetiko.

With their new album "Gogo Vago", the band puts the southwest on the musical map of the republic. The title "Gogo Vago" is an invitation to all vagabonds of the universe to set out, experience something new, share it with others and illustrates where the inspiration and diversity of this colorful troupe come from. Malaka Hostel build bridges, unite entire continents and juggle different genres with ease within one song.
