Mal­di­tos Ben­di­tos (Ver­damm­te Ge­seg­ne­te)

With "Malditos Benditos", the celebrated Nuremberg ballet director bids farewell to his place of work and his audience. At the same time, Goyo Montero closes the circle to his beginnings, as he first introduced himself and his company in 2008 with "Benditos Malditos" ("Blessed Damned"). This debut production of the ballet director has a very special significance, as "Montero and his dancers took the hearts of the Nuremberg audience by storm" - as the Nuremberg newspaper stated at the time.

The much-cited "Nuremberg ballet miracle" has now lasted 17 years. Reason enough for the ballet director, who is retiring at the end of the season, to reconceptualize the creative source of his beginnings and take it as the starting point for a very personal journey through 17 years of highly successful creative work. In it, there are re-encounters with some of the chief choreographer's most popular works, with companions, artistic partners and with Montero himself as an interpreter of his own creation ...

Thus "Malditos Benditos", like its namesake "Benditos Malditos", is once again a very emotional tribute to Montero, in which he once again fans out his entire stylistic spectrum as a choreographer.
