In the organizer's words:

On a scale of 1 to 10: How safe do you feel? Are you thinking about your pension? The lack of smoke detectors in your home? The political situation? Or your passwords, which are all the same?

As we all know, we live in uncertain times.

The Marburg Security Conference is a reflection of Marburg's mood on security issues: how safe do you feel in times of political trenches, military build-up and online propaganda? Has pacifism finally degenerated into romanticism? How do you react when experts call on civil society to be "defensive" and "resilient"? How are we supposed to build collective resilience when opinions are so divided? And where are the historical role models of non-violent resistance?

Anne Decker addresses these questions together with people from Marburg. From the results of the meetings, she is developing a performance with video and dance in which our collective images and questions about security are negotiated in an exciting and humorous way: Do we want to hide, fight, ally ourselves or would we rather be alone? How do we protect ourselves, what do we rely on, which activities distract us and which draw us into the rabbit hole?

The target groups are people who are looking for spaces in which the topic of (in)security can be tackled courageously and who want to stand up for non-violent conflict resolution.
