XJAZZ! presents a true legend of Brazilian music. The composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist has been shaping the music world for over six decades with his unique blend of bossa nova, MPB, jazz and beach boogie.
As one of the most influential artists in Brazilian music history, Valle is the mastermind behind timeless classics such as Samba de Verão (Summer Samba) - a song that is one of the best-known Brazilian melodies alongside The Girl from Ipanema. His music has been sampled by Jay-Z, Kanye West and Childish Gambino and covered by Frank Sinatra, Bebel Gilberto and even Emma Bunton.
His live performances are a tribute to Brazilian musical heritage - full of groove, nostalgia and rhythmic brilliance. On the occasion of his 80th birthday, Marcos Valle returns to Europe and promises an unforgettable evening in Berlin.
