Maren Montauk

Maren Montauk, who recently appeared as the initiator of the ShiShiBANG music performance festival at domicil, is now returning with her own songs.

Born in the Ruhr area, now commuting between Berlin and the Pott, Montauk draws on urban melancholy, personal reflection and a flair for the dramatic. For her, each song is a small scene - musically and thematically composed, often with narrative structures reminiscent of stage plays. Her voice alternates between fragile and powerful, her sound between intimacy and excess.

She is congenially accompanied by David Schwarz on piano, David Andres on bass and Thomas Wöhrle on drums. Together they create musical miniatures full of contrasts: organic piano sounds meet electronic textures, catchy melodies meet expressive outbursts.
