MARGAUX & die BANDiten – Chanson mag Jazz – 25 Jahre Band-Jubiläum

On the balmy spring evening of May 2, 2000, the international Cologne band had its first premiere at the Theater am Sachsenring. Since then, it has combined chanson and jazz, theater and literature to create a unique style. Now the band, which has performed on German and Polish stages, is approaching its 25th anniversary. The founder of the ensemble - singer and actress Margaux Kier, who comes from Poland: "We have survived with our special German-Polish concept! Nowadays, it is not a matter of course that such busy and successful jazz musicians are united in one project for such a long time... I am always happy when we all come together, as we are now in the Altes Pfandhaus - musically, there is an incredible collection of talent and virtuosity and an incredible energy is created on stage!" The ensemble, which has played at renowned festivals in Germany, has been recorded live by Deutschlandfunk and WDR, but also likes to give the occasional kitchen concert 😊, will perform highlights from their more than 20 programs and three albums. We can certainly also expect surprise guests!
