Marialy Pacheco and Francesco Tristano - two exceptional pianists who found each other without looking for each other. They met spontaneously at Schloss Elmau and gave a concert just as spontaneously - without preparation, without a plan. The result: a unique evening full of improvisation.

Francesco Tristano has a background in classical music and embodies the soundscapes of neo-classical, minimal music and techno like no other. Marialy Pacheco fascinates with jazz and Latin American rhythms. Two styles that could hardly be more contradictory - and yet it is precisely this combination that makes the duo so special.

Both dare to experiment with a spontaneous duo concert. Without a fixed program, they let their individual styles and familiar repertoires speak to each other. Improvisations and adaptations are created with sensitivity: of Pacheco's own Cuban compositions, of works by the "Cuban Gershwin" Ernesto Lecuona or of the timeless piano pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach.
