Kill me was created after a personal experience during which the choreographer Marina Otero began filming all her movements, showing her life in public around the clock and recording all events. Until one day she collapsed and was diagnosed with a mental illness. It was then that she decided to turn it into her next work. Inspired by the legendary ballet dancer Vaslav Nijinsky, who lived with severe schizophrenia for many years, she created a work about the madness of love with four dancers with mental illnesses. Marina Otero comes from Argentina and lives and works as a director, performer, author and lecturer in Madrid. In her project Recordar para Vivir (Record to Live), she turns her life into an endless theater piece that will end on the day she dies. Kill Me is part of this project.
