Markus Heitz, born in 1971, studied German and history. He has written over 60 novels and has received numerous awards. The Saarland native achieved his national and international breakthrough with the bestselling series about "The Dwarves". He has also written successful thrillers about shifters, vampires, soul-walkers and other dark characters in urban fantasy and fantasy fiction. He is far from running out of ideas.
