Where are the spaces in which we find ourselves? Where we can come to rest and reflect on our humanity for a moment? To our values, to our nature as compassionate, generous, loving beings?

In the 3rd edition of the MARKUS Night Café, we swing happily with Mozart, dream of better worlds with Bach and Dvořák, listen to "Birds of Paradise" by Greek-American composer George N. Gianopoulos and sing Amy Beach's enchanting message of peace "Peace I leave with you".

Reason enough for the Hanoverian actress Caroline Junghanns to let her thought-provoking impulse revolve around the topics of empathy and co-existence. These are questions that concern us deep inside in the face of a world in which power and greed exploit the planet and we are increasingly permeated by a feeling of hopelessness in the face of wars, violence, destruction and exclusion. We counter this with our small, modest concert and reflect on the spirit of solidarity with life on our planet - the only one we have.
