During the day, Juno helps her seriously ill husband Jupiter to cope with his everyday life. She is also an artist, dances and plays theater. And at night, when she once again can't sleep, she chats with love scammers on the internet.

Juno writes online with men who confess their love to women online and try to scam them out of their money. But instead of falling for it, these very men become a form of freedom for Juno. In the conversations, she can be who she wants and say what she wants - and supposedly without consequences. Quite in contrast to her other life, in which she is always on the move, always worried about Jupiter, always busy and involved. So Juno occasionally escapes from her everyday life onto the internet and plays games with men who lie to her. She herself becomes a liar. But isn't it true that when you lie, you lie to yourself first and foremost?

One day, Juno meets Benu, who sees through her claims just as she sees through his. And despite the distance between them, they form a bond. "Hey good morning, how are you" is a profound novel, but as light-footed as a comedy.

Martina Hefter is an author and performer living in Leipzig. Her texts range between poems, scenic forms of writing and novels. She stages many of her texts in collaboration with other artists. She has published three novels and five volumes of poetry. In 2024, she received the German Book Prize and the Grand Prize of the German Literature Fund for "Hey guten Morgen, wie geht es dir?".
