Her highly acclaimed debut album bears the Yiddish nickname "Sheyne Ziere" - as her beloved grandmother used to call her as a child: "a creature that is beautiful on the outside and inside". Without this grandiose babushka, who constantly encouraged her granddaughter, Masha The Rich Man would probably not have existed, nor would she have won the German Songwriting Award in 2017. Masha sings in various Eastern European languages, accompanied by her autoharp (a box zither that is particularly popular in the USA) and an acoustic band. However, the Berliner-by-choice prefers English - a language in which she can best express her feelings.
