Our course instructor Esther Ollick is a trained craftswoman, interior decorator, non-fiction author and well-known from numerous TV programs.

In this full-day DIY workshop, which is suitable for absolute beginners, she will show you how to make a professional seat cushionyourself. A wooden frame (approx. 30x40 cm) is upholstered from the ground up: with straps, linen, foam and wadding. You then cover the seat with an upholstery fabric of your choice - there is a large selection of fabrics available.

The seat cushion fits perfectly on a small mineral water crate or a standard beer crate, for example. Alternatively, you can attach furniture feet to your upholstery and decorate it with a border. This turns your cushion into an individual footstool.

Feet and trims are available on site for an extra charge or you can simply bring your own if you wish!

During the workshop, she will provide you with valuable basic knowledge on these topics:

• Hand tools and machines
• Upholstery fabrics, artificial and real leather
• Upholstery materials
• Foam qualities
• Spring baskets and spring types
• Seat and frame models
• Borders/postaments and decorative nails

You try out different hand and electric staple guns, staple guns, hammers etc. until you find the perfect tool for you.

You don't need to bring or prepare anything! The course fees include the workpiece and material costs. Drinks and snacks are also included!
