What an effort it used to be to go out and meet someone. Thank goodness we can now use our dating app from the comfort of our sofa to find the right person for us. Whether it's true love or a hot affair - there's something for everyone. And while we used to have to decide whether we found the other person likeable or attractive, the app now tells us whether we have a "match". It's just stupid that we expect all dating candidates to be ruthlessly honest, while we like to "prettify" our profile a little to increase our chances of flirting ("Are you crazy? I'm not going to put my real photo in there. If someone recognizes me ...").

And so many encounters lead to wild mix-ups, nasty surprises or the realization that you've been stood up - even though you were standing right opposite your perfect match ...
