MATHILDE GOES JAZZ

Dear jazz fans,

on June 10 at 8 p.m. in the Mathilde Bar in Ottensen

we are pleased to invite you to the concert of the Boogaloo Bandits.

On this evening, you can expect dive-jazz, instrumental compositions, blues and tricky improvisations.

Krakowczyk, also known as Nat King Thomas, sings with the self-irony of an old blues bard,

while his guitar melodies sparkle in front of the seething band.

Also on stage: Krakowczyk aka Nat King Thomas - guitar & vocals, Jürgen Kok - bass & choir and Thomas Planthaber - drums & choir.

The three musicians have been playing together in different constellations for more than a quarter of a century. New Orleans jazz at the Blue Monday Sessions on the Hamburg lightship. Latin jazz with Ricardo Alemán's Gringo Orchestra. Swing for the Lindy Hop dancers of the New Swing Generation. Rock-pop covers at city festivals and garden parties. Concertante modern mainstream club jazz. In the two thousand and ten, these experiences culminate and merge in the songs of the Boogaloo Bandits.
