Facilitated by Alvin Collantes and Thesea Rigou, this workshop invites participants to explore the exhibitions through movement and physical interaction. Over two hours, Alvin and Thesea will guide participants through individual and group exercises inspired by specific artworks and themes from the exhibitions.
The workshop is aimed at anyone interested - no previous experience is required. Please wear comfortable, movement-friendly clothing and shoes.
Thesea Rigou is a Cypriot interdisciplinary artist, educatorand gardenerbased in Berlin. Her artistic practice deals with socio-ecological issues and combines installations, performances and printmaking through a combination of theoretical exploration and experimental material research. As an art educator,Rigou enjoys creating safe spaces for critical dialogue and political engagement and brings experience from collaborative and self-organized projects.
Alvin Collantes is a Filipino-Canadian dance artist, drag performer, and certified Jungian life coach in Berlin. Drawing from his personal experiences as a passionate raver and queer immigrant person of color, his research explores themes of assimilation and related emotional upheavals, bodily sensations, and untold stories of marginalized bodies. He also explores the importance of drag and resilience in queer communities and its contribution to the development of self-acceptance.
