In Coming of Age. Age of Coming. Of Coming Age. Matt Copson explores existential questions of life and contemporary subjectivity. His work, shown in the main hall of KW, addresses the fundamental truths of human experience through the eyes of a baby exploring the sense and nonsense of this world.
The body has an intelligent memory. Fitzsimons, contemporary dancer, wants to explore the meaning of subjectivity for the body through improvisation. intuitive groove aims to peel away layers of our lived experience: shame, memory, arbitrary social dos and don'ts, to reach a state where the body can respond intuitively.
The workshop is aimed at anyone interested - no previous experience is required. Please wear comfortable, movement-friendly clothing and shoes.
Kerri Fitzsimons is a Berlin-based performance artist, educator and yoga teacher. She believes that through friendly facilitation that prioritizes personal interpretation, we can challenge exclusivity in art and offer accessible creative spaces. Her performance work is story-based, using narrative to create pieces that are both aesthetically surprising and accessible through storytelling.
